Read section 2 before anything else. KawanKeluarga is not a contraceptive. Calendar-based methods have a failure rate of 12–24% per year in everyday use. If you need reliable pregnancy prevention, use a contraceptive method recommended by a health professional.
On this translation. This is an English rendering of terms written in Bahasa Indonesia for users in Indonesia. Where the two versions differ in meaning, the Indonesian version prevails. These terms are governed by Indonesian law (section 13), and that does not change with the language you read them in.
01 Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using KawanKeluarga, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use this app.
This service is intended for users aged 17 and over.
02 Not a medical device and not a contraceptive
This is the most important part of the whole document.
- KawanKeluarga is a logging and calculation aid. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a contraceptive.
- Fertile window figures are estimates. The app never uses the word "safe"; it uses "lower risk".
- Calendar and symptothermal methods have a real failure rate. Pregnancy remains possible on any day of the cycle, including days marked lower risk.
- The app does not diagnose any condition. Warnings it shows only suggest that you get checked; they do not state that you are ill.
- Do not use this app to delay or replace examination, treatment, or advice from a midwife or doctor.
We are not responsible for unplanned pregnancy, for a conception attempt that does not succeed, or for any health decision made on the basis of the app's output.
03 Your account and its security
- Accounts are created with an email address. Signing in uses a one-time code sent to that address — there is no password.
- Protect access to your email inbox. Anyone who can read your email can sign in to your account.
- One account per person. Do not share accounts, including with your spouse — that is exactly what partner linking exists for.
- Your role (wife or husband) cannot be changed once onboarding is complete and data has started being logged.
- A maximum of three active device sessions. Signing in on a fourth device ends the least recently used session.
04 Partner linking
- Linking accounts is voluntary and requires action from both parties.
- The data owner controls what is visible. The default is minimal.
- Private notes and intimacy records cannot be shared.
- Either party can unlink at any time, immediately, without the other's consent.
- Pressuring another person into linking accounts or into turning on sharing categories is a breach of these terms (see section 9).
05 Subscriptions and payment
- All in-app purchases are processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your payment details.
- Available plans: Pro 2 weeks, Pro 6 weeks, and Pro lifetime. Current prices are shown inside the app.
- "Lifetime" means access to Pro features for as long as this app continues to operate. AI-assisted features still have a fair-use limit, shown inside the app.
- Pro active on one spouse also applies to the other while the link is active. That derived status ends when the link is broken.
- The core features — logging, the fertility indicator, basic predictions, ovulation confirmation, and all privacy controls — are free forever and will not be moved behind Pro.
06 Cancellation and refunds
Refunds are subject to Google Play's policy and are requested through Google Play, not through us. If Google refunds or cancels a purchase, the Pro status derived from that purchase is revoked — including the derived Pro status on your spouse's account.
Your data is not deleted along with it. A refund only revokes access to Pro features. All of your cycle history and entries remain intact and can still be exported, because data export is a free feature.
07 Rewarded ads
- Watching one ad video to the end grants Pro access for 24 hours.
- Limited to twice a day, and the time stacks.
- Rewards are granted only after direct confirmation by Google. Attempting to fake ad impressions voids the reward and may result in account suspension.
08 Limits of the AI assistant
- Answers are generated by artificial intelligence and can be wrong.
- Answers on Islamic matters are general explanation, not a fatwa. For matters concerning your own situation, ask an ustadz or an official body.
- Answers on health matters are not medical advice.
- The assistant refuses questions about diagnosis, medicines and dosage, terminating a pregnancy, and the religious ruling on contraception. That refusal is deliberate and is not a malfunction.
- Use the Report button if you find an answer that is wrong or inappropriate.
09 Prohibited use
- Using the app to monitor, pressure, or control another person.
- Forcing a spouse to link accounts or to open particular data categories.
- Creating an account in someone else's name without their knowledge.
- Disassembling, modifying, or reverse-engineering the app or its API.
- Scraping data automatically, or attempting to access another user's data.
- Abusing the ad reward system or the payment system.
10 Service availability
We work to keep the service running, but do not guarantee it will be free of interruption. Maintenance, network problems, or changes to third-party services can put some features out of action temporarily. Daily logging is designed to keep working without an internet connection.
11 Account termination
You can delete your account at any time through the app or the deletion form. We may suspend an account that breaches section 9, with prior notice unless the breach endangers other users. Suspension does not remove your right to export your data.
12 Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to this service is limited to the amount you paid for that service in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect losses, including unplanned pregnancy, lost opportunity to conceive, or losses arising from decisions made on the basis of the app's output.
These provisions do not limit rights granted to you by applicable consumer protection regulations.
13 Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes are to be settled by deliberation first; failing that, through the competent courts in Indonesia.
14 Changes to these terms
Material changes are announced through the app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and delete your account before the effective date.
